Mobile Friendly Website

flyte offers different website levels/tiers, all of which are mobile-friendly and built rock solid on WordPress. The difference is in the number of rounds of design, budgeted time for meetings and back and forth.

TIER 1

Our top-tier website is meant for an organization, like you, that aspires to be and be seen as the best in your industry. This tier provides the most one-on-one time with flyte’s Creative Director, allowing you to focus on your full brand.

TIER 2

Our middle-tier website is perfect for an organization that desires a fully custom website design but that feels they have a good handle on their design aspirations. This tier provides time with flyte’s Creative Director but the focus will be more on the website vs the brand as a whole.

TIER 3

Website SEO

With a goal of improving your standings in the search engines for both organic and local search results, flyte will complete the following deliverables over the 6-month engagement:

BEFORE LAUNCH

  • Measurement Setup: setup and/or optimization of GA4 and GTM on current website.
  • SEO Runway: flyte will evaluate the current state of your SEO with an eye towards opportunities for improvement. The Runway will outline the plan by month for your ongoing SEO.
  • SEO Matrix: flyte will develop a keyword matrix based on current rankings, analytics and competitive research. The matrix will cover the (to-be-identified) pages for your new website.

AFTER LAUNCH

  • Updated SEO Matrix: Ongoing additions and updates to your keyword matrix for pages not completed prior to launch.
  • Blog Topic Research: flyte will provide 6 blog topics identified in our research to drive top-of-funnel traffic.
  • Local SEO: flyte will continually optimize your Google Business Profile (GBP) and any other relevant local citations for local search visibility.
  • Reporting: flyte will create a custom reporting dashboard via Google Looker Studio that will include information on search visibility, ranking, traffic, and other KPIs. The report will be delivered within 1 month of your website launching, with monthly meetings commencing at that time for the duration of the SEO engagement.

Phase 2

Local & Organic SEO

We’re recommending a 12 month engagement to improve your standing in both the organic and local search results. Deliverables include:

  • Measurement Setup: setup and/or optimization of GA4 and GTM on current website
  • SEO Runway: flyte will evaluate the current state of your SEO to uncover problems and opportunities for improvement. The Runway will inform the plan, month-by-month for your ongoing SEO
  • Keyword Research: flyte will perform research into the frequency and competition for the keywords most likely to drive traffic to your site
  • SEO Matrix: Based on the research, flyte will create a keyword matrix: the titles, headers, and keywords for the critical pages on your website that will drive your success. flyte will regularly update the keyword matrix based on current rankings, analytics and competitive research. Matrix suggestions will be implemented upon approval
  • Blog Topic Research: flyte will provide ongoing research on blog topics identified to drive qualified traffic
  • Local SEO: flyte will optimize your Google Business Profile (GBP) and provide recommendations for continued upkeep for local search visibility
  • Reporting: flyte will create a custom reporting dashboard via Google Looker Studio that will include information on search visibility, ranking, traffic, and other KPIs.
  • Monthly Meetings: We’ll schedule monthly meetings with you to review your reports and provide strategy and guidance moving forward

Google Ads (Paid Search)

When people are actively searching for your products and services, Google Ads ensures you appear on the first page of Google. We can then drive them to a landing page on your website to convert them into a lead or sale.To run a successful ad campaign, we need 2 – 6 weeks of “runway,” the time it takes to prepare your campaigns for success.

Facebook & Instagram Advertising

Building brand awareness, engaging your audience, and driving traffic through social media is almost impossible if you rely on organic posts alone. However, by leveraging the advertising platforms, we can get in front of your ideal customers based on geography, demographics, interests, behavior, and more.

We can also use Meta platforms for retargeting: showing ads to people who visited the website but didn’t trigger a desired action such as filling out a contact form.

Meta–and other social channels–require regular refreshing of visual creatives. If you are comfortable providing custom photos and videos regularly and consistently, flyte can concentrate on Ad Management exclusively. If you need help creating assets, flyte offers a Creative Tier as well. Both are outlined below.

Rich Brooks

President

Rich started b1 communications–now flyte new media–in his living room in 1997. His design skills, project management, and ability to understand even the most basic accounting concepts have required him to hire much smarter and more talented people than himself.

Regardless, Rich seems to think a lot of himself and calls himself an “Digital Marketing Expert.” Apparently, he likes to talk to himself in the third person as well.

Rich loves to hear the sound of his own voice, so you can often hear him speaking in front of both local and national audiences on web design and Internet marketing. He founded The Agents of Change Podcast, a weekly Internet radio show where he interviews marketing experts from around the world. He also started The Agents of Change Digital Marketing Conference, an annual conference that takes place in Portland, Maine, and is streamed worldwide.

Rich is also the “tech expert” on 207, an evening news program on the NBC affiliates here in Maine.

Ryan Goan

Creative Director

Ryan is responsible for working with clients to help them design a successful web presence. Working in design studios from New York City to Portland, Ryan brings over 19 years of design experience to flyte. His diverse design background brings a fresh approach to each new project.

Andy Woźnica

Lead Developer

Andy has been developing for The Web since 1998. His years as both a freelance designer/developer and a member of several web design and development teams have left him with a diverse and rounded skill set. Sometimes when he's not working you can find him riding his bike(s) or paddling a kayak somewhere. We know you're wondering how to pronounce that last name, it's /vɔʑˈɲi.t͡sa/

A native of the British Isles, Andy likes warm beer in a frosty glass, solving problems and working on a variety of projects, fortunately he finds plenty of the last two whilst working for flyte’s eclectic mix of wonderful clients. He’s very excited to be a member of a great team.

Lindsay Babayan

Director of Operations

Lindsay has 12 years experience in project management joining flyte in 2007. She is an integral part of the flyte team working as a conduit between our clients, developers and design team.

She has an obsession with highlighters, in fact she has a tiara made of highlighters on her desk and she brings OCD – er – organizing to a whole new level!

She’s constantly getting praise from our clients who “can’t live without her” and have said that she is a “tremendous asset in moving the project along. Not bashful to raise concerns about ideas they may need to be flushed out further and is truly appreciated. She makes coordinating our desires, concepts, etc. much easier.”

When Lindsay isn’t being a project managing super hero she enjoys spending time with her son, skiing, hiking, reading and hanging with friends.

John Paglio

Digital Marketing Manager

John is motivated to help clients grow their business and online presence. He brings great enthusiasm and a positive attitude to flyte’s marketing department. He is Google Analytics and Google Ads certified. What does he love most, though? Digging in and nerding out over Data; Google Analytics4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Looker Studio is his name! He has also done deep work and has active knowledge in SEO, Local SEO, Email Marketing, and Google Ads. 

An avid sports fan, a day doesn’t go by where John doesn’t catch that game, that score, or that highlight play. From fantasy leagues to odds, he can't get enough of professional sports. John can also be found adventuring with his wife, their daughter and son, and Goldendoodle, Harper.

Rachel Burgard

Paid Search Specialist

Rachel was born and raised in southern NH, and became an official Mainer in 2016. With an academic background in psychology, she brings to flyte a passion for people and a fascination with what motivates them. This, combined with her artistic skillset, made the decision to pursue a career in marketing a no-brainer.

With a big sense of humor and sentimental nature, she becomes the “morale booster” of whatever group she’s in.

Outside flyte Rachel can usually be found doodling in her sketchbook, doing spot-on impressions (if she does say so herself), or binging the latest Netflix competition show.

Izzy Siedman

Digital Marketer

Izzy joins flyte after moving to Portland in 2020, a city that is affably similar to her beloved Burlington, Vermont, with the added benefit of ocean air and fresh seafood. With a degree in English and a background in the nonprofit sector, she carries a curiosity for all things communications. From social media and email newsletters to website management and SEO, Izzy is involved.

Outside of work, Izzy loves food—cooking it, eating it, flipping through glossy food magazines and dreaming of all her future dinner parties. For any office event, holiday or coworker birthday you can be sure she is bringing the baked goods. She is also a voracious reader of all genres, a casual skier and a lover of snail mail. She spends her free time hanging out with her rescue cat or discovering the Maine wilderness with her partner.

Lauren Ward

Project Manager

Growing up across the east coast, from Massachusetts to New Jersey to Connecticut, Lauren is settled in Maine and brings to flyte her sharp time management and organizational skills. A natural leader, it’s no wonder she was head coxswain for the St. Lawrence varsity men’s rowing team for four years. There, she received a BA in History & Communications, and recently received a Masters in Project Management from Northeastern University.

When she’s not keeping the flyte crew in line and on schedule, or attending classes for her degree, Lauren loves to create digital art. She creates a flurry of drawings on her iPad and enjoys working on crafty Cricut projects. To top it off, Lauren is also an experienced player on the ice, and you can find her at pick-up hockey games throughout the winter.

Kate Dalton

Web Developer

Kate’s been on many different flight paths during her life, landing at flyte after having earned a degree in electrical engineering (so long ago that she remembers something about Ben Franklin flying a kite) and then spending the last 12 years serving as the pastor of a local church. She started learning to code at a very young age (on a DOS computer) and is looking forward to collaborating with the flyte team to leverage all that technology can offer.

Now that she doesn’t work nights and weekends, she looks forward to figuring out what she likes to do with her free time while accompanied by her wife and Millie the Whoodle.

Roslyn Soper

Digital Marketer

Having earned a marketing degree in December of 2023, Roslyn blends a passion for creative marketing with a keen interest in the psychological aspects that drive consumer behavior. When not diving into the latest trends in marketing, Roslyn enjoys discovering new music, though Taylor Swift remains a constant favorite! As a Southern Maine native, the coast is her favorite place to be. Whether it's a warm day on Wells Beach or hiking scenic trails, she loves spending time outdoors. With college now in the rearview, she is eager to travel and begin new adventures. Driven by a curious mind, Roslyn is ready to immerse herself into the world of marketing!
